Balesin’s Royal Villa

Happy New Year!  I’m back.  I’m also off vacation mode and am ready and excited to get back to work.  We spent the new year at the beach, and i wanted to share my new discovery with you.  New year holidays are spent with my mom and we go wherever she decides to take us.  So, for two years in a row, Balesin has been her destination of choice and we happy campers, have no objections!  Balesin is an island in Polillo, Quezon province, Philippines.

This is a sustainable resort wherein they grow their own fruits, vegetables and seafood.  Very little is sourced out, including drinking water.  I’d like to mention that in another topic regarding the environment.  And, when I have fully understood the system they use.  During new year celebrations, they don’t have a display of fire works either.  They keep the island air as pure and clear for its inhabitants, hence, not one allergy for me during my stay.  For now, I’d like to share the latest addition to Balesins luxuriously themed casitas.

The Royal Villa, the most posh of all.  It is also, the most private, since once booked, no other guests on the island can do walk-in’s for lunch, dinner, swimming or any of its amenities.  They close it up exclusively to those who booked the place.  There are two ways to do this, they say.  First is to book the whole place, if you’re a very big group, company or family.  The other way is to get four suites and have it semi-reserved.  I suggest you call Alex Cenzon at the Balesin clubhouse for more accurate information as this is still very new and they are fine tuning the details on partial bookings.  I hope my pictures do justice.  It was quite gloomy when we were there, but the place was still beautiful, with so much to do.
