I’ve always loved the saying “A year older is a year wiser” and that’s exactly what I aim to be—Wiser, for you my dear readers. It has taken me a few days to blog. This is because I have been stuck. I have been grappling with words because there’s so much I want to share as my blog turned a year old this October. Please bear with me as I share a little bit about the blog, some wisdom, and some gifts I have for you.
In line with my products section, I was supposed to have a trunk show when I turned one to add to my homeware line. But my plans changed when October came. I was humbled by two particular conversations I had wherein the individuals I was speaking with were one, surprised and the other one, shocked that I have been blogging for only a year.
This I say in all humility, without any outside marketing other than myself and the success of my God given cheese pimiento recipe, I am truly humbled that my blog has grown. Over and beyond my expectations. Instantly, I had a change of plans and thought to myself, you are not yet worthy of a trunk show. I felt the Holy Spirit speak to my heart saying give back before you take back. And that is what I am going to do for all of you who have been with me through this journey.
My most inspired writings have been during quiet moments, away with my loved ones and with meal time favourites within my reach.

Right now, I am most grateful for my friends who threw me a surprise Jollibee party for my 30th birthday. Diane, who spearheaded the event, gathered my different groups of friends and included my family members as well. Imagine they all woke up extra early because it was a breakfast affair and call time was at 7am! It was a children’s party complete with games and prizes.

I’m grateful for being given the opportunity to teach even on a part time arrangement. Of the 5 years I’ve been teaching, I realized that I become a witness to beautiful stories of dreams and ambitions that are about to unfold. It has become a heart warming experience whenever I see each of them move out of school and chase their own dreams. Hi. Congratulations for the 1st anniversary of this blog. I am most grateful of two things. First is my family. We may not be financially blessed but my family especially my parents do their best to provide us what we really need and they strive to give us a home. A home where we all feel loved,safe, protected, secure and welcomed. Second thing I am most grateful for is inner strength. I have my own personal battle/issue/condition I have been dealing for past years and it has very tough emotionally and psychologically.
