I’ve mentioned many times that Christmas is our favourite season ever. That’s why I make it a point to send out my gifts early, get my loose ends tied up and gear up for the holidays. All that, just so we can immensely feel the seasons good cheer. These few days leading up to Christmas does not make malling or going around town a stressful or harried experience because of the point I make in preparing early on to enjoy this most wonderful time of the year. There have been quite a few stores opening before the holidays and my daughter and I decided to check them out and do some leisurely shopping for ourselves and special people that came to mind.
Our first stop was the newly opened Cath Kidston boutique at the Fort, BGC (Active Fun building). When in London, we make it a point to drop by this floral fabulosity of a place. I’m ecstatic it has opened in Manila and more glad because it represents a sign of progress in our country. We have a lot of everyones favourite jaunts abroad coming in! As most of you already know, Cath Kidston and the other places I have on this post was brought in by the brilliant visionnaire extraordinaire, Ben Chan and the Suyen group of companies. Our next stop was also the newly opened, Vero Moda in SM Aura. Loved how chic their mannequins are, not to mention, their hair colour and cut. Another fashion forward haven.

Our last stop was at PAUL, SM Aura for a late and laid back lunch. We were famished and everything hit the spot. Especially our dessert, which if I may say so myself, is the best strawberry eclair you’ll ever have. Light, smooth and not too sweet, with the perfect tartiness from the freshest strawberries. I had the ham and cheese croissant, while my girl had the caprese in ciabbata sandwich. Their mushroom soup was so good and well made, that I wiped it out before I could take a picture!
T’was a beautiful day and with pride in my heart, I will say; we are becoming truly world class. How’s your Christmas coming along? Would love to hear from you.
