Everybody loves a good fried chicken.  This recipe I learned from my husband’s Nanny while vacationing in L.A. with the kids is a keeper. We had it for lunch on a clear summer day and have been hooked since!

Pinoy Crunchy Fried Chicken

Ingredients:
•1 kilo chicken wings
•2 tbsps. calamansi (Philippine lime)
•1/2 tsp. pepper
•1/2 cup patis (good quality fish sauce)
•cornstarch for dredging
•oil for deep frying
Procedure:
Marinate chicken in calamansi, pepper, and patis for 30-40 minutes. Dredge in cornstarch and fry only a few pieces at a time. Drain in a paper towel lined platter. Serve immediately to experience the crunch!
