In the 1940’s, there was an enchanted land of dreams called Sampaguita Pictures, owned by the famed Vera-Perez clan. Most of the entertainment and movies of that time were shot in this studio. Today, the children of Azucena Vera Perez, have restored and NOT torn down this beautiful 1940’s art deco home. The reason for this restoration, family members say, is so, that era, can be relived and experienced. It is now an events place, mainly for weddings and debuts but also, for what ever event you have in mind.

What’s Inside Sampaguita Gardens

There are 3 entertainment areas

  • The main ancestral house
  • The main events place (new structure) approximately 440 sq./m up and down, totaling 800 sq./m
  • The garden

There are 2 holding rooms (so brides and debutants can get ready with their glam team in relaxation). I tried to capture as much of this property as I could, like the original Narra floors with Mahogany center, and the food garrison (grill area) which was still from the Japanese era (not in pic).

There is so much more to see.  The church used in old movies is still there and will be part of their phase 3 restoration so that in time, it too, may be used for wedding ceremonies.

If you’re looking for a vintage feel with old world charm, check this place out. As for now, their accredited caterers are Hizon’s and BIZU among others.
