I am so glad to be spending this holy week in La Union.  Not only do I get to catch up on uploading blog posts (after the busy market I just attended), but also on much needed family time and quiet reflection.  These past months have been amazing.  I’ve had great reviews for my food products and was invited to join The Gourmand Market which proved to be very fulfilling for me, in all aspects.  I was sold out, but more than that, it made my heart burst to realize  that my food is enjoyed by many.  The overwhelming response and feedback made me believe even more, that we all have a special place under the sun.  Really!  I was beside a special lady named Johanna Garcia of Real Girl Toy Kitchen.  She sold products similar yet different from mine—and more extensive.  She had dips, sauces, chill con carne and even soups.  She was so pleasant that my daughter also promoted her products while selling mine, thus, we have decided, we only want to be neighbours with each other and share a booth as often as we can.  Why?  Because we believe in each others products, are secure with our own products and share the same mindset that there is room for everyone.  I also shared my booth with a friends daughter.  I wanted to give her a break because when I was younger, there were many family friends that gave me a break too.  Living with this mentality has the best benefits.  It keeps you minding your own business and concentrated on improving only yourself.  It also creates a peaceful attitude in you when you know that you are in competition with no one, because that’s the way it should be.

My friends and the people around me are so accomplished that being with them gives me such positive energy to strive to do my best.  Status in life is not a benchmark of success.  There are many people who have so much, yet are very unhappy.  The key to making it, is knowing who you are, what your talents are and making it your area of work.  If someone told me 10 years ago I’d be blogging today, I would have laughed at the absurdity then.  But time, prayer and concentrating on your strengths and how you can help humanity are the fruits of knowing you are unique and play a special role in this world.  I pray that everyone learn this, in this lifetime.  Here are a few quotes I liked and want to share with you in this holiday of reflection and prayer.  If you are unsure, pray.  Ask God to show you exactly what you should be doing.

It’s been said that we all have a purpose, and our purpose is to figure out our purpose.  A reflective holy week to all…
